What's this all about you ask?
This is a conference to meet other interesting web folks. We will be a small crowd in a recluse location. No internet, no computers, just people.
Seeing Funconf disappear was sad, and something had to be done. BlackoutConf came to life because of it, and it is most definitely inspired by it. We will provide more mountainy scenery than helicopters though.
The journey will start in Zürich on the 6th of September. You will be led to a beautiful place in the Swiss Alps. The trip, accomodation and food for the next two days are on us. Speakers (to be announced) and fellow attendees shall provide for your entertainment.
The 7th will be the main conference day followed by festivities. On the 8th we will make our way back to Zürich at an appropriate time.
Tickets sell for CHF 650 (around €530 and $700), all of which will go towards making the event as awesome as possible.
By buying a ticket you agree to not act up like a jerk during the conference. You recognize that disrespectful behavior towards other attendees (or innocent bystanders) will get you dumped alone in the wild. If you apologize you might get a compass.
Tickets will be available some time in March.
Who is behind this?
The conference is being put together by Jordi. It's all done for fun and to get to meet interesting people. That's why you should come too!
The design was made by Meret.
You can email us at email@example.com for complaints, words of encouragements, random rants or if you just need a friend.
We are in the process of getting some speakers confirmed.
More info will follow soon.
